finally ended the horrible terrible miserable CS3214 presentation last tuesday... was quite smooth i guess, but the evaluator said we abit messy... 2 mini bugs were found but 1 is cause by the fragile glassfish and other is domain unreachable due to yahoo finance was down so the currency convertor not working... LoL... nevertheless is over...

 

let me share the best solution to angsty people in 3214 is: FOOD

eugene got a box full of tim sum a few days b4 submission of final release... LoL... well feed to monsters in our grp doing 3214...

 

anyway... last tue when i was quietly watching CSI miami... surprisingly... some friends came to give me a surprise + cake @ my house lobby... yup... is my 24th birthday... erm... feeling older again... thanks to all well wishes and yup... i still consider myself 21 + n years old... haha...

 

 

forget add 1 more thing.... some time back.... when supper wif army gang.... tasted our chef malcom new creation: 4 flavor cake...

anyway is exams period... ytd cleared my weakest modules, ST2334, probability and statistics... oh man... hope can pass.... last 2 papers which are 3251 and 4251 will be next tuesday.... hope my memory will serve me well these couple of days... gd luck to all fellow pple whom taking exams ! ! !

again is monday.... unable to pick up myself to do some revising or even just plaining reading my notes/textbooks.... spent 4 hrs watching tv already.... while preparing some of my 3214 presentation 2morrow...

 

what can i do now ? i feeling so blues.... sometimes i do really want to lazy, doing nothing but when i have the chance, i just dun noe what i can do... omg.... so contradicting... is somehow like when some1 has many choices, he/she be choosing for long long time, when has nothing much to choose from, he/she will grumble and end up choose one or even NOTHING...  but still a choice has to be choosen, some decision needs to be made.... i am @ this stage now.... oh man.... i need some confidence, more brain power or will power to overcome this coming exams and many things coming ahead.... how how how? but today is monday, totally moodless....

 

anyway, meetup wif elvin, kh & adam 4 dinner ytd... i chose some time to go ion for a walk... nevertheless, i am amused by the building... basment 1 to 4, i tHink is for me this kind of standard to make purchases where levels 1 to 4 is to wait for me rich then can go there make purhcases... such a long time didnt came to orchard having a walk,.... last time i came orchard was to orchard central... woah... how long is it? i dun noe...

YES ! finally submitted CS3214 project... intended was 5pm but was time extended till midnite... good in sense we got more time to settle a few more bugs, bad is our suffering is extended longer... nevertheless, handed and today meetup @ 8am for presentation preparation... but i end up overslp & reach @ 10plus, feeling so bad to my team-mates... hope my presentation on tuesday will be a smooth one, and i intended to start preparing for my statistics examination... but end up watching youtube and do a short blog....

 

hope i have a bright mind to mug for my exams...

How to image.... when RAG day like just end a few days ago, you already in 4th week of school... YES, i am having such feelings now... Happy to say that I have tune back to student life fast as my super heavy workload module CS3214 made me die die must do work, cannot "holiday" mood...

 

now sitting in cs3251 lecture... feeling so bored... this semster is quite different from previous few semseters.... dun really have time to go relax, KTV and movie.... argh my favourite things to do.... whahaha.... shall squeeze time out time to spend on what matters me most... lol...

Wanted to say quite some time ago.... A japanese foodcourt @ POMO, the former paradiz centre. Selling japanese kind of food @ foodcourt prizes, only their drinks abit overcharged. Try their stone rice, thin-crust pizzas and some of their sides... not bad... got sushi and sashmi too ! but i still misses the food in japan !

After CGF, got appreciation dinner @ sakuara clementi.... nothing to brag about.... just dun like the system having 2 floors with different food, need to climb stairs.... LAZY me....

 

I think since poly yr 3, i didnt go to jurong point walk walk... 1 find day.... was there with cheefull... to my horror.... new extension... new facelift.... many shops.... but don't have shops selling handphone casing... lol.... saw a big crab @ their basement.... lol....

With a bunch of ns friends, we went to buffet @ BRIOi... not bad since is 1 for 1... paid about $27.... love their oyster and salmon sashimi.... cooked food range not much...

 

Memorable place... come here buy dinner, buy lunch, buy anything for rag and many more.... during the 2 mths rag.... my sure come hangout place with YL49B (the evil lorry).

basically... after back from japan, was quite busy with planning and liasing for my club's Freshmen Orientation Projects especially for camp and some marketing matters. before the camp, i went for the PoolFest planned by my club's sport cell, to gather people islandwide to challenge for a game of pool... the semis till finals were awesome, as the pros display very nice skills during the matches.... had KFC for lunch.... nice nice.....

 

let's start talking about camp, begins from 23rd to 26th June... @ sentosa... known as Camp Castello... so many things had happened, i could say might be unpleasant for some of the people... i learnt that being a director not only need to ensure all events safely and successfully work out, you need to fighting fire between both sides, and sometimes reminding is not enough to drill things into people's mind... anyway in short, camp was a success, there bound to be mistakes, disappointment by many due to lousy meals, but lucky seniors really help to pull everyone through and let the freshmen has a wonderful experience... with sentosa's beautiful sand and weather, beach games is fun and the HTHT @ kampong huts was fanastic.... anyway, i was on MC on the 2nd day of camp, maybe first i am over-work as i slept almost 5 in morning after walking 1 round to ensure freshmen is asLeep.... the "nice" UHC doctor say I having high fever must be social responsible to be @ home... end up i slept @ student lounge over the night... and also for subsequent night due to lack of sleeping space.

 

after  the camp wasn't over... through the camp, i was also partial involved in logistics for Cyber Gaming Festival... is an external event, in simple words, LAN gaming competition.... dota, Left 4 Dead and Deadshot.... 3 games... well only 2 games i famailar with.... logisitcs seemed a easy task for me, just lucky with chua's help to gather manpower, many things easy settle as all required manpower to carry... for my task is coordinate and drive van... anyway is a weekend event, the jacket i like alot and only memorable thing happen is 2 teams not happy with the game due to game marshaller's difference of standard... myself (crowd controller aka "bouncer") and choongyee (chief judge) reduces the problems and let them to have another round again.... anyway see the amount of goodie bags we transfer from school to the venue.... ALOT !

Yes i know... Since quite sometime i didnt blog anything since i went to Japan... Anyway I now wish to take a opprtunity to write a few words for my Japan trip...

 

I only can say, i am a slacker when it comes to booking and searching for the best package tour. Basically, our first intention is to go austrialia and stay-in one of our friend's friend empty house. After a series of calculation, and declaring of own budget, we end up cancel the idea and end up we planned to go Japan. Thanks to Jessica, she really team leader in our Japan trip, from searching for best deals and kakis to go Japan, she has the PASSION (known as "die die must go") attitude to go Japan... LoL... If i not wrong, we spent almost $1900 per pax for the package tour. a total 10 of us went together to JAPAN...

 

Proceed to terminal 1, i still dun have the "happy" feelings going to overseas sia... i packed my stuffs about 2 days before the departure, i am still relaxing, like packing to go camp.... lol.... then we take the jet plan.... and a 6 hours long journey..... on JAL (Japan Airlines).... browsing movies to watch.... but i managed to watch 1 movie and then doze off for a couple of hours then wake up watch CSI abit.... the 6 hours was quite a struggle as the seats are nice but for me with such long legs was quite a hazard to the air-stewardess as i stretch my legs out of the chairs ! lol... but @ night during leisure time, we went to eat ramen.... 1 word.... "heavenly".....

 

About 6plus we reached Osaka, 1st thing come to my mind is.... omg.... i am in JAPAN ! ! ! lol... the first thing this country welcome is the damn good weather.... so cooling.... feel like aircon in COM1... haha.... first stop is to the osaka castle... looks cool... a sight-seeing location... while we walking out of the castle, a few batches of local students went in, and some of our friends (to be exact the females) took their cameras and snapshots of them.... lol.... next we proceed the universal studios.... took the 4D movie <Shrek>, very amazed with the "effects"... 3D i think most of us heard before, 4D is additional effect which you can "feel", but in short is spraying you with splashes of water... for example: when the donkey sneezed, u see the effects of sneeze, ur chairs shakes due to the sneeze, and u get "effects" from the sneeze.... lol... <Sipderman> ride is a must go as quite exciting... is my first time to universal studios, so everything to me looks damn cool la.... the settings, the buildings.... before we left universal studios, we saw the Hard Rock Cafe and there's a nearby takopachi museum, looks fanastically alot variety of takopachis, and we got ourself 1 pack and tried... nice nice... was already evening time, we proceed to "shisaibashi", a busy shopping district to shop and i rot @ macdonald, and i saw "McPork"... something you will never see it in singapore.... anyway dinner was "Tempura Set", very nice... but maybe tireness sets in.... i so sLeepy.... lol....

 

Quite a sight-seeing day... go temples to pray.... go see kimono fashion show..... sad things unable to see "geishas" walking on a district which is famous for "geishas"... the "Kingakkuji Temple" was woah... gold plated.... and very fast, 1 day is over....

 

FAST.... AMAZING.... STUNTING..... i can think of these 3 words to explain..... the bullet train..... we took a bullet train towards Hakone.... the speed.... is something you wun see in singapore's MRTs.... in Japan, there's express bullet trains, meaning will passby the station only, and you can feel it's speed when it passes by.... omg.... in short, the whole day, we went to Peace Park, follow by lunch @ a holland kind of windmill place, then proceed to Owakudani Boiling valley.... first thing u smell of surphur.... veri de "nice".... haha....anyway there sells boiled eggs using the boiling water over there, the boiled egg shells are black in colour as due to the cooking process in the hot sulphur water.... 1 egg you ate will increase 7 years of longetivity, you believe or not, just try.... i didnt try cos i was damn full after the lunch... quite saddening cos i cant add 7 years to longetivity ! haha..... next place of interest is.... MOUNT FUJI !  ! ! trust me.... the place is damn cold, and the scenery of mount fuji is ______ .... hard to find a word to use.... anyway we were lucky as our coach managed to climb to the highest "floor" for vehicles, known as "wu he mu".... vechicles can proceed to mount fuji in 5 sections, wherby the 5th is the highest you can proceed.... if the fog is thick, vehicles only allowed in lower sections.... @ evening we proceed to checkin to hotel... enjoyed a nice dinner.... the grilled fish was memorable, you dun see it in singapore.... then @ night we enjoy a nice hot spring.... very good experience.... from how to bath like a japanese in their public bathing areas, then proceed to dip into hot spring.... the sensation is SHIOK ! ! ! one point to take note, you must be totally naked (no swimming wear) in order to enjoy this experience.... after the bath, we walk around the lake, damn nice when the cool air blown as we are very hot after the bath....

 

most of them went for 2nd round of hot bath, while i continue my sleeping.... after checkout, we proceed our way to Tokyo.... taking a short crusie and view the rainbow bridge, the fake statue of liberty.... end up again.... SHOPPING ! but we visited the toyota showcase, know as MegaWeb.... you see the toyota's latest car models.... the new wish which just release in singapore... we took a ride in their f1 simulator.... then follow by shopping @ the Palette Town.... just opposite of the MegaWeb.... their ceilings painting like the sky and the colours keep changing.... to our surprise, shane got a $500+ worth of Burberry's Blue Label handbag for a special gal... omg.... he willing to spend so much ! ! ! omg ! ! ! lol.... then @ night we proceed to "shinjuku", red light district and heart of Toyoko's vibrant cities.... we didnt go the red light district part, we walk aroudn the shopping arcades and places.... let me remind you 1 thing, in Japan there are many 100 yen shops, similar with singapore's $1.99/$2 value shops.... and also... you will see how good is their convenience stalls.... singapore's 7-11 is no fight with their major convenience stall.... you can find from bento, hot food, fried chicken, pastries, nice bread, sushi in their convenience stalls... and i think japan culture is quite unique in a sense, you can find porn magazines in their newstands, shops selling porn videos but the japanese do have a conservative culture...

 

a full day of playing @ disneyland.... what can i say much on this ? play like crazy la.... anyway we didnt proceed to disneyland, as there were too much people.... we took a short ride to disneySEA.... more exciting rides, seeing your favourite cartoon characters.... and last 1 hour plus, when most of them go for the last exciting ride, i am buying qutie a few disney products to keep as memoirs... haha.... if i got more $$$, i really can shop till i drop ! ! ! @ night, we 4 guys walk around the shopping centres and end up bought alot of soveniors for some of our frens who didnt go japan.... the shopping centre is a evil place, so many things we could buy !

 

morning is free leisure time.... we went around have a look..... intend to go cosplay cafe have lunch, but due to lack of time we ate beef bowl which to my surprise is far more better than our yoshinoya beef bowl.... lol.... anyway time's up, we pulling our heavy legs and drag ourselves back to singapore.....

 

I miss Japan... the food.... the enviroment.... how cleaniness is their public toilets.... the weather.... and many many more..... anyway i will blog more soon.... alot needs to update.... wahaha....
